Organisers - posting messages on the calendar. And emails about the club.

Organisers need to post their own events on the calendar...if they want them there before the event. A lot of people still look at the calendar before checking their inbox and probably think it magically updates by itself but its just poor old Andy at the PC behind the scenes 24/7.
I will post leftover ones at regular intervals but maybe once a week or so. Everyone has login now and access to the calendar - its not difficult to just add an event.


Lots of cuts coming unfortunately. Another is answering all the emails - people should put questions on the message board support forum - too much coming in my mailbox and often the answer is on the website. Anyone can answer simple things but I will try and reply to them every week.


Adding an event to the calendar ...after login.
Go the monthly view.
Top right corner of each day you will see a + plus sign appear under the mouse.
Click that and fill in the main details on the page that appears.
Title, category like hiking, details, times of event are best not entered ... reasons. Also as it is public please delete phone numbers, emails and meeting times.

Or, after login look at the bottom left of the calendar - you will see a link ' Add an event'. Same on calendar day view.
