Jun 16th: Outdoor shop tour then Tokyo comedy show in Shibuya pub (free)

Outdoor Shop Tour
If you are interested in buying gear, want advice, or just want to look around then you can join me for an outdoor shop tour.
I will start in Akihabara at 5.30pm (Nippin) - walk Okachimachi (2 shops)  6pm - Ochanomizu from around 6.30pm  (London sports discount shop plus others) -
If time maybe Shinjuku or Shibuya and perhaps a big shop in Takadanobaba before 8pm.
Times are approximate - better to call 30 minutes in advance if you want to join in the middle, or see you at the pub.


Saw some very cheap boots and gortex overtrousers at London Sports last time.


After that I will go to the Shibuya Hobgoblin pub for the Tokyo comedy store show which starts at 9pm. Should be there by 8.30pm to have a chat.

Some are them are good and its free - buy a drink.

The Stand Up Comedy Night at the Hobgoblin in Shibuya is an all stand up show held on the third Thursday of every month. We feature stand up comedians with a variety of styles, performing in English so you can unwind and relax after work.
Each show starts off with a few "open mike" comedians, who have 3 minutes each to try out new stuff and see if they can get an audience to laugh.
Then the show features our regularly performing comedians performing 15 minutes or so each, delivering the comedy that Tokyo audiences keep coming back for.
Shows are usually just a little over an hour long, with a break in the middle, so you have plenty of time to hang out and have a couple of drinks along with having a laugh.
No reservations necessary! Just come on down and enjoy the show!

Doors open: 7 PM
Show starts: 9 PM
Show ends: 10 to 10:30 PM
Admission: FREE! ... but we ask that you buy at least one drink so that the bar likes having us there and continues to let us perform.

Gortex over trousers - still a few left 3,900en ladies/4,400en mens.
Exofficio (cheapest/good quality) trousers and various brands from 1000en.
Ladies polyester cotton mix outdoor tops also good value.
Boots there too - chaeaper than outdoor shops - quality ok.
1 pair of size 23 , 4 season gortex boots - very good - only 5000en.
In ODBox there was an LED headlight for 1,900en - good enough.
