Event Details [イベント詳細], Route and Time [ルートã¨æ™‚é–“] We will hike about 1.5 hours on an easy trail to Honzawa-onsen on Saturday. I and at least one other member will probably camp, but there is a yamagoya there also. I think about 6500 yen without food. Camping is 1000 yen or less. Safe water is available. Saturday afternoon, relax in the highest rotenburo in Japan at 2150m or do light hiking.
Sunday, weather permitting, I would like to climb either Ioudake or Tengudake. It is about an hour or so up to the pass, and depending on the mountain, we go either north or south from here. This is optional, if you want to relax at the onsen you can while we are hiking.
Their website is at
http://www.yatsu-honzawaonsen.com/There is an inside, separate male/female bath at the onsen but the rotenburo is semi-wild mixed one with good view of Iodake.
Bring swimsuit or towel if you are shy, it's clothing optional2 videos, taken when it was a bit cooler (like -8 degrees when the video was taken) are here. Tokyo Terebi was filming an onsen TV while we were there.
