We will go to Futarasan jinja mae （二荒山神社前）directly.

Basically this plan is based on my old plan for Nantaisan and plus staying Indian restaurant/hotel place with hotspring and go to Shiranesan next day.
Location [場所]: Nikko
「男体山（なんたいさん）」は栃木県日光市にある標高2,486mの火山。山体は日光国立公園に属す。日本百名山のひとつ。
「日光白根山（にっこうしらねさん）」は、栃木県日光市と群馬県利根郡片品村の境界にある標高2,578mの山。
関東地方の最高峰で、国内ではこれより北や東に日光白根山より高い山はない。日本百名山のひとつ。
Event Grade [イベント等級]: Fitness 2, Technical 2 about 6 hours hike for the 1st day and about 7~8 hours for the 2nd day
(according to my book/map, but it should finish faster than that)
It seems a little rocky and there are chains at Nantaisan (男体山）and this hike is long. so you should not to beginner or you have a good balance and tough:)

Travel Details [旅行の詳細]
Meet at Tobu-Nikko station at 8:20 and take a bus at 8:36 bound for Yumoto Onsen （湯元温泉） and get off at sightseeing ship harbor (遊覧船発着所）at 9:16.(40 mins' ride) the take a bus 9:26. (so we need to be hurry!! BUT if we walk, it will be about 30 mins)
We can leave things you don't need for hiking at 'Hotel Asian Garden' (

Route for Nantaisan: 男体山へのルート
Futarasan jinja mae （二荒山神社前）→4th station （四合目）→ 8th station （八合目）→ Nantaisan（男体山）→ 8th station （八合目）→ 4th station （八合目）→ （ 二荒山神社前 ）
(Map time is about 6 hours 15 mins. (according to my book: I believe we will finish faster than this))
Going back, we will get on a bus at Futarasan Jinja (二荒山神社）at 15:39 (if we are fast, we can get on a but at 14:59 or 14:39)
If we miss a bus of 15:39, next bus will be 16:09, 16:30, 17:30...etc) and about 10 mins ride, we go back to hotel and take a hotbath and have delicious Indian curry:)
2nd day:
We will take a bus from Sightseen ship harbor (遊覧船発着所) at 7:06 (if we miss this, next one will be 7:46) and get off Yumoto Onsen (湯元温泉). It should be within 20 mins or so from nearest bus stop to Yumoto Onsen stop.
If you like, maybe you can leave some things in their locker....maybe!
Route①: 8 h 20 mins
Yumoto bus stop 湯元バス停→(2:10)→Sotoyama 外山鞍部→(0：50)→Mae-Shirane 前白根→(0:30)→Goshoku-yama 五色山→(0:35)→Amida-ike 弥陀ヶ池→(1:00)→Shiranesan 白根山山頂→(0:40)→emergency hut 避難小屋→(0:40)→Mae-Shirane前白根→(0:40)→Sotoyama 外山鞍部→(1:15)→Yumoto bus stop 湯元バス停
or
Route②: 8 h 5 mins
Yumoto bus stop 湯元バス停→(2:10)→Sotoyama 外山鞍部→(0：50)→Mae-Shirane 前白根→(0:30)→emergency hut 避難小屋→(0:30)→Shiranesan 白根山山頂→(1:00)→emergency hut 避難小屋→(0:40)→Mae-Shirane前白根→(0:40)→Sotoyama 外山鞍部→(1:15)→Yumoto bus stop 湯元バス停
possible bus we can take to Nikko station is 15:15, 15:45, 16:15. (about
depends on people and weather...
Things to Bring [持参するもの]
definitely rain gear, lunch, water, rain gear, warm clothes ,glove, head light...etc. normal hiking stuff.
Cost [費用]
train fee from Asakusa to Tobu-NIkkou JPY1,320. x 2 (2 hrs and 10 mins)
Hotel one night :JPY2,700.
Curry dinner (if you like): about JPY1,000.
bus fee is JPY1,100. x 2 (not sure but it should be like this, but I think we can get 'special pass' at the station)
