It can get cold in November.... will need good sleeping bag for below 0C.

All details from 2015 trip are here:

Almost the same. Leave on 0710 Tobu train for Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen. Get off at Kinugawa Onsen and the bus is about  20-30 minutes later. Then its a valley walk to the spot with hot water flowing out of the rocks by river.

Last year 12 people and everyone wanted to go back. The path had some damage from heavy rain so it was intermediate level for one place about 20m. MAybe it is repaired not but not sure. So for safety it is for intermediate hikers not worried about steep/narrow section.

I cannot access my disk with the best photos from last year but here are a few from OCJ old photo gallery.

Just sent out on the mailing list.

Details should be same as 2015 trip - you need to read carefully and check the train time and bus time - number is there.
Follow the details exactly in the event message. Get off at the bus stop - named, about 2 stops before the last bus stop at mie-oto-buchi onsen. Walk back 100m to bridge crossing the river then follow the signs for the path.
TAkes about 1.5 hours.
The trail reaches a concrete dam construction and then crosses the river about another 100m upstream. The path goes through the forest next to the river but crosses the river about 5 times.
You reach a wide clearing and you will see pipes and blue sheets next to steam rising from concrete block where the hot water comes out. Usually hole is ready made - drain the hole - wash the sheet - put back in and fill up with clean hot water. Adjust with river water if too hot. Use the pipe to get hot water in the hole and later to control the bath temperature.

Last year we built a stone wall near the hot water point and made a large deep pool - it was very good. and only took about 1 hour.
Remember, there might be path damage before the dam at one point - not beginner level if the same condition.

I'm interested too but I just joined the club and missed the mailing list. Could you forward it to me or should I wait for another announcement until the date is set?

It cannot be forwarded to 1 person so just copy and paste yourself - there is no date at the moment and someone  will have to volunteer to lead it.
Hope one of these people will take over organization of it - repost it as a new copy is best.
