Looked at the route and refined it a bit. We will be going to the Akikawa valley area from Musashiitsukaichi station by bus.
Hiking will start from Senzoko bus stop (Hinohara) which is about a 30 minute bus ride from the station.
We will probably finish at Kamiyozawa and take a bus back to Musashiitsukaichi. Other possibilities are going a bit further to Tsurutsuru onsen or even the Okutama train line if people are genki.
Not starting too early because Im sure people will drink too much tonight. Timetable copies are at the bottom of the email:
Shinjuku station: 0839 Chuo train - Tachikawa 0908 - change Itsukaiichi line 2 mins 0910 - Musashiitsukaiichi 0940
We will be at the front of the train.
Later train but dangerous for catching the bus ... backup if you are late:
Shinjuku station: 0847 Chuo train - Haijima 0925 - change Itsukaiichi line 3 mins 0928 - Musashiitsukaiichi 0954
Bus is at 0959 for Fujikura I think. We get off at Senzoko after 30 mins and start hiking. 4 hours map time hike then extra for caves and rocks.
Things to Bring
People who want to climb should bring harness and karabiner, boots also if you have them. For the cave also may need harness and headlight. I think they are tourist caves but I dont know for sure ...
We might make it to the onsen so bring a small towel.
At least 1 litre of water (2 better) and lunch.
Things to See/Do
Tengunotaki waterfall -Tsuruwaiwa Rock - View of Fuji San - (Takaguroiwa Rock) - Otake waterfall and Otake cave - Maybe Mitsugo cave and Yozawa cave. There probably wont be time for Tennouiwa rock climbing place but after the BBQ next week we will do 'Part 2' rocks and caves hike in this area.
