Now weather is ok for Friday. Cherry blossom will IS in full bloom.

Fri 1st April: Ueno Park Sakura Social Night (+ cheap restaurant/bar)


Meet Okachimachi station north exit 6.45-7pm. If late you can meet us in the park (). I cannot read website messages from phone.

Walk around Ueno park and find a place to sit down. It is lit up so should be beautiful. Buy drinks beforehand at convini.
Buy cheap food at Chinese food stalls and yakitori before or after yozakura.

Can take alcohol stove but if anyone has a stove we can make warm/hot sake. We will share gas and sake cost. I can bring pot.

I can also bring a large sheet but cardboard box is very useful/comfortable/warm if you can find one near Okachimachi station... or camping mat!

Gear Sale (I will take if people request)

I also have a lot of outdoor gear I need to sell.

Several items of clothing; Marmot windproof shell jacket, Patagonia fleece, some 3/4 North Face trousers (hardly used), some outdoor shirts (hardly used) winter mittens, etc etc.

Sleeping mat, 45L rucksack (very good condition),.

Cheap 3 season sleeping bag,  net hammock (can use on ground too a net tent).

6 point crampons, maybe winter walking axe.

There are a few OCJ T-shirts for 500en (new ones).
